I was honoured to be one of four designers selected for a feature on ‘top 20 designer plants’, each of us selecting five plants we would count as our ‘signature’ plants. I included Anemone x hybrida ‘Honorine Jobert’ as this was the first flower I ever fell in love with. It was growing at the top of bank when I worked behind Salisbury museum as an archaeological illustrator in my mid-twenties, and I can still remember the impact of it planted en masse.
